Coated glass - A kind of glass product that is coated with one or more layers of metal, metal compound or non-metal compound coating on the glass surface by physical or chemical methods, to meet specific requirements.
Solar control coated glass - A kind of coated glass product whose optical properties is changed by its coating. It has good reflection and absorption for sunlight in the wavelength range of 300nm~2500nm.
Type of solar control coated glass
ⅰ Solar control coated glass is divided into offline solar control coated glass (soft-coated) and online solar control coated glass (hard-coated) according to the coating process;
ⅱ Solar control coated glass is divided into 3 different types of solar control coated glass according the heat treatment methods:
a) Untempered solar control coated glass - Glass neither tempered nor heat strengthened before and after its coating process;
b) Tempered solar control coated glass - Glass tempered after coating, or coating after tempered processing;
c) Semi-tempered solar control coated glass - Glass semi-tempered after coating, or coating after heat strengthened processing.
ⅲ Solar control coated glass is divided into temperable solar control coated glass and non-temperable solar control coated glass according to the different high temperature resistance of its coating.
Low emissivity coated glass - (also called Low-E glass) A kind of coated glass that has high reflectance for 4.5µm~25µm infrared rays.
Type of low emissivity coated glass
ⅰ Low-emissivity coated glass can be divided into off-line low-emissivity coated glass (soft-coated) and on-line coated glass (hard-coated) according to the coating process.
ⅱ Low-emissivity coated glass is divided into temperable low-e coated glass and non-temperable low-e coated glass according to the different high temperature resistance of its coating.
